Jessica Rose

Jess has been creating and delivering communications strategies for social enterprises, national charities and media for 20 years. An expert copywriter, editor and co-creation facilitator, she also specialises in messaging and social issues campaigns. She's a director of Marine Studios Arts and Culture CIC, which hosts The Writers' Room in Margate. She also runs Plastic Free Thanet, which works in partnership with local groups and businesses to make the shift to a reuse culture and circular economy. Alongside her work for at Co-relate, she is a poet and literary copy-editor and a founding member of Poets for the Planet. She previously led on Business in the Community's work on a just transition and green skills, good work for all and the Ban the Box ex-offender employment campaign. She worked in communications roles for NHS Employers and Shelter following a career in journalism in Australia. Her first social enterprise was Poached Creative, a communications agency that supported disadvantaged people into work in the creative industries.
